In Season One, Belle de Jour shagged her way through a series of three-ways, four-ways and all manner of fetishes and kink, while Hannah struggled to keep her professional identity a secret from her family and best friend Ben. But Ben learns the truth, and their relationship is thrown into a tailspin.

In Season Two, Belle falls in love with hunky Dr. Alex and comes very close to giving up prostitution forever. But her job's allure is too strong, and when Belle discovers that Alex isn't all that he seems, she ditches stability in favor of a good time. On the advice of Ben, Belle decides to write about her unique experiences and becomes a best-selling author. Meanwhile, Ben gets jealous of Belle's relationship with Alex and begins to question the nature of his feelings for his best friend, and Belle reluctantly takes newbie Bambi under her wing, which leads to a succession of hilarious sexual encounters.

In Season Three, Belle is hired to write a follow-up book, and ends up breaking two professional protocols when she falls for her editor Duncan. Meanwhile, Bambi goes gaga for one of her clients, eccentric rich kid Byron. Belle cautions her that prostitutes can't have boyfriends, while hypocritically carrying on with Duncan. And to confuse matters further, Ben starts up with Belle's sister Jackie, which makes Belle extremely jealous. The season ends with Belle chucking both Duncan and the book in favor of her glamorous lifestyle, only to be thrown when Ben suggests they make a real go of it.
